Abuja Newspaper Distributors Get New Excos

Amid pomp and pageantry, the stakeholders in the Abuja newspaper distribution industry gathered under the aegis of Abuja Newspaper Distributors Association (ANDA) to inaugurate the new executive council of the association in Abuja for the next two years.
In his inaugural address, the new president of ANDA, Mr. Joshua Oregun said the most important task of his administration is to lift the association to greatness. “We will leave no stone unturned to achieve this greatness,” he pledged.
In charging his new team, Oregun said, “In the days ahead, those of us who have been elected to serve must show that we are men and women with passion to match hopes and aspirations of the masses. We must demonstrate the leadership, vision and sacrifice to transform our association, we will develop new areas of understanding and collaboration, seek fresh ideas that will enrich our association”.
Earlier, the outgone president, Comr. Otu Otu Eno while reflecting on his administration said that he inherited a divided and troubled union with dilapidated structures but within the period in power, his administration was able to renovate some structures, bring out the aesthetic look of the association’s premises, restore order and commence work on the fencing project which is 50 per cent completed.
Eno enjoined members to support the new administration as no one can succeed in an atmosphere of hatred, antagonism and back stabbing.
The national head of circulation, Leadership Newspapers, Mal. Ibrahim Halilu who was the guest of honour, advised the new administration to be transparent and run an all-inclusive association if it must succeed, promising to work closely with the association.
