APC to boycott Presidential Debate

All Progressives Congress (APC), Thursday, says it will not participate in the ongoing public debates on national television and radio stations organised by the Nigeria Election Debate Group (NEDG). It alleged that the Nigeria Election Debate Group (NEDG), co-ordinating the debate, was fraught with fundamental errors from the outset, according to a statement signed by Malam Garba Shehu, the Director Media and Publicity of the APC Campaign Organisation.

The statement said it decision to boycott the debates ”is because of the unhidden bias and campaign of calumny by some key organisers of the programme against the corporate political interest of the party and its candidates”.

Excuse not okay NEW
by: Anonymous

The APCPCO mouthpiece pleaded that his party’s
boycott of the debate should not be seen as disrespect to Nigerian voters, or
an alibi for the party to dodge public scrutiny; but called for it to be viewed
as an "honourable right not to consent to any activity that could distract,
demean, denigrate or derail the fast-moving train of the party".

How on earth would a debate, which indeed provides the platform for parties to showcase what they are made of, instead becomes something to distract, demean,
denigrate and derail...? APC has admitted that all the suspicions of the people
about their flag bearer are true and they are scared to death to face scrutiny,
therefore has chosen to come up with fabricated fallacy. Anyway, they are
between rock and a hard place, as joining in the debate would obviously lead to
answering hard questions, and avoiding it altogether as they have, suggests
they have skeletons in the cupboard. You can only cover a lie up to a point; I
can see the noose tightening on them.

Lies NEW
by: Anonymous

SEE, ANOTHER LIES AGAIN TO CREATE DIVERSION FROM THE CERTIFICATE AND DEBATE ISSUE. WHY IS ALHAJI LAI MOHAMMED AND APC FULL OF LIES? LEADERS, LIES. MEMBERS, LIES. CHANGE TO WHAT? HABA. NAWOOOO!

On the Debate issue, I think the mistake the organisers made, was perhaps, the omission of AN HAUSA/FULANI INTERPRETER. Listen to all his interviews. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN IN HAUSA. PLEASE THE ORGANISERS SHOULD INCLUDE AN HAUSA INTERPRETER, AND HE MAY COME.

He does not speak good English. And what is he going to the fora of intellectuals, academicians, technocrats to do?

I knew it from the onset that General Muhammadu Buhari will not attend the debate, and the APC, consistent with their lies, will fake up one excuse, which they have done.

IT IS A PARTY OF LIARS AND DECEIVERS, CHEAT, THEIVES AND CERTIFICATE FORGERS. THEY ARE SO CORRUPT. THEY ARE JUST DECEIVING THE PEOPLE, AND GULLIBLE MINDS ARE FALLING INTO THEIR DECEIT. IT IS UNFORTUNATE. MAY GOD HELP NIGERIA.
