Governors meet in Abuja next Tuesday

A meeting of the 36 state governors in the country will hold next Tuesday in Abuja.
A statement made available to newsmen last night in Abuja and signed by Zamafara State governor and chairman of the the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF),Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari enjoined his colleagues to be present at the meeting scheduled to hold at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja.
The statement further disclosed that the meeting would receive presentations from strategic MDAs and development partners regarding their proposed reforms and supports to states of the federation. The Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Federal Ministry of Health / World Bank, Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) and the UK Department for International Development (DFID) are also to make presentations at the meeting.
According to the statement, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) are also expected to make presentations at the meeting among others.
“The meeting will also discuss major issues affecting states of the federation and the well-being of the people as well as the forums` peer review initiative.”
Secretaries to State Governments are also expected to attend the meeting.
