Wike Appoints New Abuja Liaison Officer

Rivers state Governor, Barrister Nyesom Wike has approved the appointment of Mr. Vincent Nemebioka as the new Liaison Officer for the State Liaison Office in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.


The Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Mr. Opunabo Inko-Tariah said the appointment which was announced on Wednesday June, 24 was with immediate effect.

Nemebioka, who was a former Commissioner for Commerce and Industry and a former Vice Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, has since assumed his new office in Abuja.

According to the Governor's spokesperson, his appointment was meant to facilitate a smooth interface between Rivers state government and the federal institutions in Abuja.
